The Word Network, established in February of 2000 by Kevin Adell and the late Franklin Z Adell, has become a prominent African-American religious network renowned for its diversified Christian programming. Over the years, it has distinguished itself as a preferred network for African American audiences, showcasing ministries, Christian-focused television content, and gospel music.

The Word Network has been pivotal in live coverage of major events worldwide, broadcasting national conventions and conferences such as The Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship and The Church of God in Christ Holy Convocation. In May 2012, The Word Network completed a substantial expansion at its international headquarters in Michigan, incorporating cutting-edge production facilities and executive conference rooms to cater to its growing audience base.
